“You too”, I replied.
When we met…
After twenty long years of wait.

You were sitting at the corner table,
Creases of monotony etched all over you.

I paused in my distrait caves,
Put out the only flicker of surmise,
And went on swimming through the wisps of untold.

We stood apart, universe in between
When sunshine suffused
Through the dusty window panes,
After long.

We stared deep into each other,
As if to rummage through shelves
To find the chapter we had written together.

Your first words like a newborn’s sleepy smile
Shattered the twenty years of frozen time.

“You’re crazy!” You had said.
